Support An Impact Entrepreneur
There are a growing number of impact entrepreneurs that are building for-profit and non-profit enterprises to tackle our most pressing problems, from persistent poverty to climate change. They are entrepreneurial doctors, grizzled community leaders, and idealistic recent graduates in fields from ethical fashion to sustainable food.
It’s tough starting any type of business. It’s particularly tough balancing a triple bottom line when you are getting an impact enterprise off the ground.
You need a great idea, a committed team, and you need to connect with all kinds of capital: people, grants, and investments.
At the Centre for Social Innovation, MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, and the School for Social Entrepreneurs Ontario, we work to support these early stage impact entrepreneurs. We want to connect them with the right kind of capital.
Fortunately, the right kind of capital is coming to Toronto on March 18th for ImpactOntario.
ImpactOntario is a landmark conference that brings world-changing Ontario ventures together with world-leading investors and intermediaries. Designed to support deal flow and impact investing opportunities through pitch sessions, one-to-one meetings and plenary panels, Impact Ontario aims to increase capital directed to profitable ventures with a scalable, sustainable impact.
We want to raise $4,500 in scholarships to send 30 early stage impact entrepreneurs to the conference. The funds raised will cover delegate fees to attend the conference, providing these early stage impact entrepreneurs with a great opportunity to network, learn, and raise money/profile for their venture. A leg up today will go a long way tomorrow. You can join the campaign today!
If we reach our campaign target, we will send 30 incredible start-up impact entrepreneurs to Impact Ontario! Click any of the logos below to see the impact entrepreneurs associated with that organization. To learn more, check out their websites. Better yet, come chat to them face-to-face at ImpactOntario!
