ImpactOntario Welcomes Impact Leaders from Chile
As ImpactOntario gets closer, it is with a great deal of excitement that we welcome the esteemed delegation of impact leaders from Chile!
Next week, the world is coming to ImpactOntario. We will be joined by visitors from across Canada, the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, and beyond.
We are particularly delighted to welcome a delegation of impact investing and impact enterprise leaders from Chile. Chile is home to Fondo de Inversión Social (“FIS”), one of the first impact investing funds in South America, and it is also home to Sistema B, the organization leading the B Corporation movement in South America.
The Chilean Delegation
Led by Patricio Powell, Consul General of Chile in Toronto and Juan Antonio Figueroa, Trade Commissioner of Chile in Canada, we will be welcoming a number of distinguished guests:
These leaders will have an opportunity to meet with local industry representatives, participate in discussions and events during ImpactOntario week, and tour facilities in Toronto (MaRS), Hamilton (Innovation Factory), and Kitchener-Waterloo (Communitech).
The visit will provides a great opportunity to:
- Foster connections between B Corps and the impact investing community in Ontario/Canada and Chile;
- Facilitate knowledge exchange in impact investing and impact enterprise between Chile and Ontario/Canada; and
- Showcase leading impact investing and impact enterprise activity in Chile.
Editor’s Note: ImpactOntario is SOLD OUT! To everyone who managed to grab tickets, thanks for your support & we’ll see you March 18th! To participate in ImpactOntario online (as well as in-person, we hope), use the hashtag #ImpactOntario when you tweet!
