Farooq Shaikh

Student, Lahore University of Management Sciences

Farooq is currently pursuing his MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Lahore, Pakistan. He is interested in Economics, Political Science, Investments and Islamic Finance with a concern for how they can be applied for development of equitable and just social structures.

His exposure to the field of Islamic Finance is through his internships in Islamic Banking Divisions at Standard Chartered Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland in different functions during his undergraduate years. Upon graduating he worked for a year in the Islamic Banking Division of Habib Bank Limited, the largest private bank in Pakistan, focusing on Business development and Relationship Management.

Farooq has an undergraduate degree in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan. He is also a Level 3 candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
