Narinder Dhami manages the operations of Rise Asset Development, a Rotman/CAMH financial initiative. Rise provides financing (loans, leases and lines of credit) and mentorship to men and women living with mental illness and addictions who are interested in pursuing self employment. She is responsible for overall program oversight and fiscal management, among other duties.
Prior to joining Rise, she helped to incubate the project as an Associate within the Michael Lee-Chin Institute of Corporate Citizenship at the Rotman School of Management. Narinder received a Master of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto in Electrical Engineering. Following the completion of her MBA, Narinder worked in sub-saharan Africa at the Premiere Agence de Microfinance in Burkina Faso, Mali and Côte d’Ivoire.
Narinder currently co-chairs Toronto for Acumen (TfA) – an official chapter of the Acumen Fund. TfA is a volunteer-run chapter of Acumen Fund, a non-profit global venture fund that uses business approaches to solve problems of global poverty.
