Lina is a volunteer advisor with Pillar Nonprofit Network, supporting the Trillium-funded Social Enterprise for Sustainable Communities project and is a steering committee member of the Ontario Social Economy Roundtable (OSER).  Lina is active in her community, as Chair of the Poverty Impact Council for United Way of London and Middlesex, member of the Social Finance Committee for London Community Foundation and a number of other community groups. She is also engaged in poverty alleviation initiatives in northern Peru, including the design and development of a project to launch a social enterprise that will enable youth to build job related skills.

Lina recently completed a Masters of Arts in Development Policy and Practice from the Carsey Institute at the University of New Hampshire and she is a Certified Management Accountant with honorary Fellowship status. Lina spent more than 25 years in the financial services industry where she held leadership roles in financial management, marketing, product development and client service.
