Karim Harji is a partner and co-founder at Venture Deli, which accelerates the development of promising early-growth companies across a variety of sectors by helping to strengthen their business models, management teams, and their social and environmental impact. He leads Purpose Capital, a division of Venture Deli, which supports investors in building strategies that align their investments with their social and environmental impact objectives.

Karim is the co-founder of socialfinance.ca, the leading website on social finance and impact investing in Canada. He teaches social entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Toronto and the Schulich School of Business at York University, and is also a Senior Research Associate at the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation at Carleton University.

Karim was previously the Senior Manager for Partnerships & Social Impact at Social Capital Partners (SCP), a social finance organization which provides growth financing and advisory services to businesses that integrate a social mission into their operations. He has also worked as a researcher and consultant in the areas of corporate social responsibility, community economic development, program evaluation, and social impact measurement.

Karim serves on the Boards of the Social Investment Organization and the Small Change Fund, and holds a Masters degree in Public Administration from Carleton University.
