Gwen Hughes is the Program Manager at the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF), a national charity that provides pre-launch coaching, business resources, start-up financing and mentoring for youth, age 18 – 34 to help start a business. Her focus at CYBF is to develop programs and initiatives that promote youth entrepreneurship, mentorship and the success of CYBF-funded small businesses. 

Gwen has an Honour’s Bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of Winnipeg and is currently pursuing a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto.

Gwen has lived and travelled in various countries including Brazil, Japan, India, and the United States. Gwen hails originally from Winnipeg, MB and currently resides in Toronto with her husband, fellow SocialFinance.ca blogger Shyam Shankar
