Jen Heneberry has been the Co-operative Development Manager with the Ontario Co-operative Association since April 2006. She promotes and provides education about the co-operative model across Ontario, and has provided information, guidance and advice to over 500 clients that needed assistance in starting, managing or growing their co-operatives. Jen also manages the technical assistance program and helps to connect co-ops with the professional and financial resources that they need.

Her introduction to the co-operative sector came as a result of working as General Manager of the Positive Power Co-op on the development of community-owned renewable energy projects.

Jen has degrees in chemistry and environmental science, and is currently pursuing her Masters of Public Administration. She is a director on the board of the national CoopZone Developers’ Network Co-operative and also recently co-authored “Building Bridges with Government: The Social Economy in Practice” in Living Economics, edited by J.J. McMurtry.
