Laura has been a financial journalist in the UK since 2007, writing first for Mortgage Strategy, a publication for mortgage brokers, and then for dealReporter and mergemarket, FT Group newswires for investment bankers and hedge fund managers. In the winter of 2010 she left England to find a new career more closely aligned with her values of civic and social responsibility and human rights. She has spent the past year volunteering in Bolivia and settling into her home city of Toronto.
