Trader at the Structured Credit group of a Canadian investment bank
Shyam Shankar currently works in the Structured Credit group of a Canadian investment bank. He is interested in applying creative financial tools to empower socially beneficial enterprises, and feels that a good idea should never be abandoned because of the limitations of conventional financing. Shyam completed his MBA from the Rotman School of Management and his Masters and Bachelors in Economics from Tufts University. Before moving to Toronto, he spent several years as a consultant to financial institutions in Washington DC. Shyam is excited about the possibilities for social finance in Canada and the opportunities that will be presented to the next generation of social entrepreneurs.
