B Corporations are going on the road!
Did you know there is over 670 certified B Corps in over 24 countries? We ended off 2012 with 61 Canadian B Corps and are gearing up to spread more B Corp love this year.
We have welcomed some big names in Toronto (who will be announcing their certification in the next few months - wait for it!) and also certified our first B Corps in Ottawa (Rocketowl) and Montreal (Takt-etik). We were so pumped about these new companies, we decided to go on the road to hold a B Corp event in both these cities - and you’re invited!
The MaRS Centre for Impact Investing is collaborating with some great local groups/companies for both events: HubOttawa, Sustainable Enterprise Alliance, Gestion Immobiliere Quo Vadis, and the Finance and Sustainability Initiative.
At Doing Well by Doing Good: The B Corporation Way, you will learn about B Corps, the SVX, and more importantly hear local businesses share how they use the power of business to solve social and environmental challenges. In addition, you will get a chance to provide your feedback and ideas to help bring these entrepreneurs to the next level.
