Money, Meaning and Much More at Socal Capital Markets 2011

Yes, it's that time of year again... as fall beckons, so does the world's premiere gathering of people involved in impact investing and social finance: the Social Capital Markets conference. SoCap, now in it's fourth year, takes place again at the scenic Fort Mason Centre in San Francisco next week from September 6-9. SocialFinance.ca has been covering SoCap since its inception, and we will be there again this year, as well as returning as a Media Sponsor.

As the impact investing universe has evolved, so has the range of sessions, and there is much to look forward to. This year, there is (again) an impressive array of speakers, and several new tracks this year that provide an avenue for attendees to delve into the specific topic areas in more detail. Note: SocialFinance.ca’s plans to host Canada Day on the sidelines of SoCap 2011 have been altered. Instead of a paid event as before, there will now be an informal dinner on the evening of Tuesday, September 6th. This will be followed by a breakfast huddle on the morning of Friday, September 9 to share learnings from the conference and discuss ways to move social finance in Canada forward.
