Video: The B Corp Movement Featured on PBS

This week has been a fairly significant one for the B Corp movement. On Wednesday, March 7, B Lab released their 2012 Annual Report and lists of "Best for the World" B Corps that are making a difference. On SocialFinance.ca, Joyce Sou highlighted the six Canadian B corps that made it to the "Best for the World" lists, and Alex Wood spoke about the evolution of capitalism in a thought-provoking post.

Last week, PBS NewsHour also featured this burgeoning movement, explaining what's happening and featuring B Corps IceStone, Revolution Foods, and Warby Parker. Here's their description, and the video:

Seven states have passed legislation officially recognizing companies with a conscience. Called benefit corporations, or B Corps, the firms strive to make a positive impact on society while also turning a profit. Economics correspondent Paul Solman reports as part of his Making Sen$e of financial news series.

What do you take away from this? Are you a business owner interested in converting into a B Corp? Or an investment trying to figure out how the B Impact Assessment can help you choose where to invest?
