Betsy Martin is the co-founder of Jackson/Martin, an impact investment consulting firm that helps Canadian foundations, institutional investors, individuals and families mobilize capital in ways that make a positive impact.

Betsy (MPA, Kennedy School, Harvard University) brings 18 years of experience in leadership roles with Canadian community foundations nationally and locally.  For the past five years she has been the champion for mission-related investing at Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) and also works closely with Philanthropic Foundations of Canada and the Canadian Environmental Grantmakers’ Network (CEGN).

She developed and negotiated CFC’s investment partnership with the Bank of Montreal.  She is co-author of the Social Investment Organization’s (SIO) 2009 report on responsible investing training for foundations and endowments and many other articles and reports. Before moving into the foundation sector, Betsy was a VP at Citibank in the US.  She is a director of SIO, CEGN and the Small Change Fund and an advisor to the Community Forward Fund.
