Peter Nares is the founder and Executive Director of the national nonprofit organization Social and Enterprise Development Innovations (SEDI). SEDI uses innovative approaches to help low-income Canadians reach self-sufficiency. Under his leadership, SEDI has helped shape Canada’s social policies in the areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and asset-building. An internationally-known social entrepreneur, Peter was awarded an Ashoka Senior Fellowship in 2008 for his innovative work in socioeconomic development in Canada.
