Dionne Chingkoe is currently a finance and sustainability student at the Sauder School of Business in Vancouver, BC. Having always believed in connecting the private, social, and environmental sectors, Dionne has spent the last few years working at the junctions between these three communities.
For the last few months, Dionne has been working with Social Capital Partners to build a social impact measurement system. The system seeks to establish standardized metrics and methods to quantify SCP’s depth of impact on community hires as well as to isolate inputs which lead to successful outcomes. Last year, she worked as a strategic technology analyst evaluating whether or not a $15M distributed generation project would be a viable investment for the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority to decrease electricity demand from the grid.
Dionne is the co-founder of the Social Entrepreneurship Experience - a one day conference exposing students nationwide to the fundamentals and questions facing social enterprise. The conference seeks to educate undergraduates in all faculties while challenging them to apply business solutions to their respective social causes. The conference is currently being developed into a larger gateway organization for students in social enterprise. While this transition takes place, conference information can be found at the temporary domain, lovedionne.com/see.
Dionne is an adventurer at heart, an avid foodie, and an anthropologist according to the Ten Faces of Innovation. She can be found online at lovedionne.com or on Twitter @dionnechingkoe.
